Journalism Students of Astrakhan State University Give Career-Guidance Classes
The ASU students that are going to be mass media experts in the future told the senior schoolchildren of Astrakhan High School No.2 named after V.V. Razuvaev about the journalism profession in the modern world.
The meeting involved schoolchildren of the 9-11th grades that study in social and economic classes.
Speaking about their future profession, third-year students of the ASU Faculty of Philology & Journalism showed the children a few videos, made within their studies at universities in various subjects.
Then the children could ask some questions they were interested in to the guests: someone asked about the admission exams, others were interested in the students’ opinion on the traditional media clash with the new media, and one of the teachers asked the students to tell the audience about the speechwriting profession.
At the end of the meeting, the teachers noted that their pupils were really interested in the topic, and some of the schoolchildren even said they’d made a decision to choose the journalism major at university.
