ASU Kicks Start to New Project “Youth of Governorate”

The first lecture within project “School of Debates 2.0” took place on February, 11 at Astrakhan State University. The meeting brought together students of several universities of Astrakhan and schoolchildren of the region.

Head of the Astrakhan Youth Agency Egor Ugarov congratulated the participants with the start of the project.

Head of the Astrakhan regional youth social movement “Youth of Governorate” and student of the Law Faculty Dmitry Mantsurov kicked start to the educational initiative at Astrakhan State University.

“The project objective is both to teach you to speak well and to provide the best of you with new tracks of self-fulfillment in the region through undertaking traineeships at sectoral organizations and on the TV and preparing for major forums,” stressed the student.

Roman Kolymazhnov, a reporter and TV presenter at Astrakhan 24 Channel, was the first to talk to the participants about public speaking. He told the schoolchildren and students about the stages of preparing for media coverage of large events and shared some professional secrets of journalists.

The next lectures of the School of Debates take place on February 18 and 25.
