Astrakhan State University Trains Speech Therapists to Work with Special-Need Children

The ASU Faculty of Pedagogical Education, Art, Service & Culture has launched professional retraining programme “Remedial Work of Speech Therapist and Defectologist Teacher with Special-Need Children”.

The training session, which takes place both online and offline, is organized by the Department of Remedial Pedagogy and the Centre of Pedagogical Staff’s Continuing Education “Teacher of the Future”.

The course includes the following sections: “Scientific and Theoretical Foundations of Defectology and Speech Therapy”, “Current Issues of Speech Therapy”, “Current Issues of Defectology” and “Issues of Inclusive Education for Special-Need Children”. Classes are conducted by professors of the Department of Remedial Pedagogy.

The course involves representatives of education and medicine, as well as those who are now looking for work and are planning to connect their professional future with speech therapy.

The course will end on June, 30.
