Astrakhan State University Students Learned the Secret of Yuri Kochetkov’s Success

The legendary alumnus of the university spoke about the times of his study at the Astrakhan Pedagogical Institute and recalled the career ups and downs that he had to face in his life.

The Alumni Club, aimed at uniting ASU students of different generations for consolidation, communication, exchange of experience and increasing the importance of the university, was created at Astrakhan State University upon the initiative of the rector.

One of the activities of the club is project “A Secret of Success”, which implies meetings of students with well-known and successful graduates of ASU who have extensive professional experience in certain areas they could share with young people.

The first guest to start the series of events was Yuri Kochetkov, a person with an endless list of merits — an actor, theatre director, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, President of the Organization of Culture and Art of the Astrakhan Theatre for Young Spectators, an honorary citizen of Astrakhan. Besides, he graduated from the Philological Faculty of our university.

At his meeting with the students, Yuri Kochetkov recalled his student years and told the audience a few interesting stories.

As the guest says, studying at the Pedagogical Institute gave him extensive literary philological knowledge, wonderful experience and lots of positive emotions and memories.

At the end of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism Lyudmila Kasianova invited Yuri Kochetkov to take part in the Socialization project and noted that students can learn a lot from the famous graduate of ASU, and the university’s initiative “A Secret of Success” provides such an excellent opportunity.
