ASU Spin-off Companies Are Exhibited at 2021 Startup Village Conference
The international event is organized by the Skolkovo Foundation and VEB.RF under support of Roscosmos. A team from Astrakhan State University is taking part in the forum dedicated to the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space.
ASU is being represented by Vice Rector for Digitalization, Innovation and Priority Projects Aleksey Titov, Director of the Department for Community Development and Promotion of Initiatives Angelina Fadina and a young innovator, first-year Master’s degree student of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity Pavel Tamkov.
Astrakhan State University is represented at the startup conference by two spin-off companies that are residents of Skolkovo. It is noteworthy that SMELKOM ROBOTICS LLC, created by a young innovative team, officially received the status of a Skolkovo resident only on the sidelines of the conference.
The event also hosts Startup Bazaar, an exhibition of innovative projects. Companies from Russia, Italy, South Korea, Qatar and other countries take part in it: more than 100 startups are presented offline, other 400 are presented on the online platform. Young technology companies demonstrate promising Russian developments — from prototypes to finished products — in IT, biomedicine, energy conservation, and industrial technologies.
The ASU is exhibiting amphibious vehicles, underwater and surface robots.
