ASU First-Year Students Participate in Scientific Event at the Russian State University for the Humanities
Students of Astrakhan State University have taken part in the 13th international scientific conference “Political Design in Social Communications. Thirty Years without the USSR: Political Institutions and International Political Practices in the Post-Soviet Space”, held in Moscow.
The scientific event was organized by the Faculty of History, Political Science and Law and Faculty of International Relations and Foreign Regional Studies of the Russian State University for the Humanities, and by the Russian Association of Political Science. The conference was attended by professors of educational institutions of higher education, researchers, PhD and doctoral candidates, students, representatives of public authorities and local governments, as well as members of political parties and public organizations.
First-year students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Astrakhan State University made reports at the event, too. They touched upon topical geopolitical and strategic issues. Diana Firsova highlighted the issue of recognizing the independence of states in international politics (using the example of Nagorno-Karabakh), and Alsu Kassamedinova spoke about the peculiarities of the formation of a political regime and its legitimacy in post-Soviet countries through the example of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
