ASU College Students Learn about Responsibility for Environmental Offences

Deputy Prosecutor of the Astrakhan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office Zarif Shamshutdinov told the students about the goals, objectives and results of the office’s work.

The guest told the students about responsibility for environmental offenses and crimes, highlighted the most interesting facts of the prosecutor’s office activities on revealing violations of the environmental legislation and the response measures taken.

The conversation participants discussed the existing problems related to the compliance with environmental legislation, work plans for their solution and the specificity of the law enforcement practice in the region.

The expert recommended that students report any environmental violations they face to the environmental prosecutor’s office.

The meeting ended with an interesting and useful dialogue: the students actively responded to the proposal to ask topical questions about environmental problems in Astrakhan Region and the work of the environmental prosecutor’s office.
