A decision on Astrakhan State University’s entering the association of universities was approved during the latest meeting of the Academic Council.
Head of the Artificial Intelligence Project Office Aleksandr Koshkarov said that a preliminary agreement on the admission of ASU to the association had been reached this May within the framework of forum “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories”.
“On June 10, Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov held an online meeting with Chairman of the Association Mikhail Myagkov, and on June 11, we had the first meeting of the working group on further cooperation within the consortium, including work with big data and artificial intelligence systems for projects in the Caspian macroregion,” said Aleksandr Koshkarov.
The head of the ASU Artificial Intelligence Project Office also noted that the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers functions on the basis of Tomsk State University.
“Joining this consortium will help us maximize the prepared application for participation in Priority-2030 federal competition, especially the section that will deal with big data and digitalization of the university,” said Elina Polyanskaya, ASU First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Strategic Development.
