ASU Is One of the First Russian Universities to Open Competencies Assessment Center

Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov and Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Innovations & Priority Projects Aleksey Titov have taken part in the meeting of the expert council of project “Assessment and Development of Management Competencies in Russian Educational Institutions”.

Participants of the videoconference event considered the project progress. The formats and development plan of the council for 2021–2022 were presented. The participants of the event, including representatives of departments, the academic community and the management of leading Russian universities focused on the centers for assessing competencies in various fields and got acquainted with 25 universities that are ready to open pilot centers for assessing managerial competencies in 2021. Astrakhan State University was on the list, too.

The competence centers will implement the best practices for evaluating leading projects of autonomous non-profit organization “Russia — Country of Opportunities” (including competition “Leaders of Russia” ) and various projects of training individualization. Upon completion of individual educational programmes, students will be able to obtain relevant documents that will be accepted by employers.

Currently, work on the implementation of the project is in full swing. In 2021 and 2022, it is planned to open 25 centers at Russian higher educational institutions and provide 150,000 students with an opportunity to acquire additional skills.
