Astrakhan State University Will Have Its Own Anthem

The competition for music and lyrics is timed to the upcoming 90th anniversary of ASU. All interested employees, professors and students of any faculty can take part in it.

The approval of the official anthem of Astrakhan State University is intended to contribute to the formation of a sense of patriotism and pride in the university among students and staff, to foster a respectful attitude towards the traditions of ASU, to strengthen the positive image and internal corporate spirit of the university.

The following basic requirements are imposed on the competitive works:

• the words of the anthem shall be solemn and reflect the history and modernity of the university, as well as contain appeals, calls and mentions of the mission of the educational institution;
• the melody of the anthem shall correspond to the genre of the work, be solemn, expressive, easy to remember and easily reproduced, to express pride in our university and the profession chosen.

The author (or group of authors) can present any number of anthem versions.

Contestants shall apply for participation and submit their materials (the text of the anthem in .doc / .rtf / .txt and / or the phonogram of the anthem in electronic form on CD or MD) to the Art Platform Project Office (the ASU main building, 1st floor, office 134) until November 30, 2021.

The winners of the competition will be chosen by December 10 based on the results of the work evaluation by the competition jury. The winner will receive a cash prize and a certificate, and their work will be approved as the official anthem of ASU by the order of the rector of the university. Other participants will become certificate holders.
