Online Autumn Welcome Day at ASU

The university administration and representatives of the Admissions Office have had a live talk with prospective applicants and their parents about the niceties of the 2022 admission campaign.

The ASU rector addressed the prospective students of Astrakhan State University. Konstantin Markelov told the students about the main advantages of our university.

In his pep talk with the schoolchildren, the rector focused on three points:

• they need to have a close look at the training programmes, including all the profiles offered. It is worth choosing professions that will remain relevant in the future;
• they need to pass the maximum number of the final state examinations so that there are more options for getting a state-funded place;
• they should get to know the university by attending welcome-day events or following its life through social media.

Executive Secretary of the Admissions Office Lyudmila Tovarnichenko answered the schoolchildren’s questions about the documents to submit, the submission deadline and procedure, the passing score for state-funded places, their number by faculty and the achievements which additional points are given for.

In her turn, Director of the College of Astrakhan State University Svetlana Kunyashova told the prospective students about the opportunities for admission to secondary vocational programmes. She noted that in 2022, the number of state-funded places for some majors had been increased.
