Our Future Linguists Cover Practical Training in Iran

Undergraduate students of the Department of Foreign Languages of Astrakhan State University have been to the University of Gilan (Rasht, Iran), where they are to cover two-month language training thanks to an exchange program.

They began their practical training by acting as interpreters for the delegation of Astrakhan Region, which came to Iran’s northern provinces - Gilan and Mazandaran - in late April and which is headed by Governor Alexander Zhilkin.

During their training, our students will act as assistants of teachers at classes in Interpretation; the classes are given to Iranian students studying Russian to teach them to translate from Farsi into Russian and vice versa; our trainees are also to work as interpreters at the Russian consulate in Gilan.
