Site to Discuss Legislative Base of Legal Proceedings

On April 25, 2014, the Chair of Procedural Law of Astrakhan State University has arranged a round-table talk “Provision & Realization of Rights & Legal Interests of Participants of Criminal Court Proceedings”.

The range of its participants has included officials from Astrakhan prosecutor authorities, from police departments, and from the regional community of barristers. Students of the Law Department of our University have given their reports; they took part in discussions and evaluated new changes in Russia’s criminal procedural legislation. Reports concerning the realization of the principle of competing parties during legal proceedings, issues of launching a single committee of investigations, and the theme of a civil suit in a criminal process have been of special interest.
