Aspects of International Law Delivered by Top Expert

Professor Bruce Leimsidor, a top specialist in the field of EU and US immigration legislation from Ca’ Foscari University (Venice, Italy), is giving lectures at Astrakhan State University. He will be delivering a substantial educational program at ASU for about a month.

Professor Bruce Leimsidor is a recognized expert in the field of international law, in particular, in the immigration legislation. He is a graduate of Princeton University (USA); he has gained rich experience of working with the United Nations and the US Congress; he is a regular author of materials for the International Herald Tribune. Besides legislation and lecturing, Prof. Leimsidor is interested in regular nutrition; he is known as a mature restaurant critic.

Prof. Leimsidor’s visit has become possible thanks to long-lasting cooperation between Ca’ Foscari University and Astrakhan State University. It is already his second visit to ASU: he gave a cycle of lectures in Astrakhan in 2012.

As for the first week of his current visit to ASU, Prof. Leimsidor is giving lectures to students of our Law Department and the Department of Foreign Languages. The lectures will concern various aspects of the European and the international legislation in the field of immigration, as well as issues concerning refugees. As for the next weeks, the Professor will meet students of three other Departments: the Department of Business & Economy, the Department Social Communications, and the Department of World Economy & Management. As he told us, no exams will be taken at the end of his course, as his lectures deliver a lot of extra materials in economical and legal disciplines.
