What, Where & When in Astrakhan Region?

On May 24, the game “What? Where? When?” has been held at Astrakhan State University. It was organized by the Department of Social Communications.
In her welcoming speech, Professor Lyudmila Baeva, Dean of the Department, has pointed out that the theme of the game - Culture & Peoples of Russia - has been determined in honor of the Year of Culture in Russia. Six teams from the Department of Social Communications and the Department of Philology & Journalism have taken part in the game.
According to the participants, the game has been quite difficult, but everyone was pleased. Such activities are a splendid opportunity for informal chats among students. It has become clear that the participants were real erudites, and most of them knew their native region very well.

The team of our future sociologists has won the game; our future journalists have taken the 2nd place; the 3rd place has been gained by our future lawyers specializing in international law.
The game has been handled by Mr. Valeriy Kharlamov, a faculty staff member of ASU; whereas the questions have been prepared by Dr. Igor Vostrikov.
