Victory Gained by Students of Our Department of World Economy & Management

During two days, our students struggled for leadership at the National Internet Contest in Microeconomics & Macroeconomics by tackling various assignments in Economics, by making up graphs, and by deducing formulas. As a result of their hard intellectual work, students of Astrakhan State University have gained prizes in each field: the 2nd place in the team rating in Macroeconomics; the 3rd place in the team rating in Microeconomics; one of our students (Zaynab Bagandova) has taken the 3rd place in the personal rating in Microeconomics.

Students of our Department of World Economy & Management have already been taking part in this Contest for five years. As for Macroeconomics, it is already the third time that our team has gained a prize, but this year their performance has been improved by taking the 2nd, not the 3rd place (as it used to be). Their victory in the section “Microeconomics” has been of special value for them: they have performed very well in two nominations at once: both the personal and the team ratings.

The Department of World Economy & Management is proud of its students’ success at the Contest and would like to thank the faculty of the Chair of Economical Theory (Mr. Vladimir Popov, Dr. Ekaterina Vostrikova, and Dr. Anna Meshkova) for such a smart training of our students.
