Our Young Humanitarians Go to Seliger Forum
On August 20, four students and young faculty staff members of Astrakhan State University will go to the Forum “Seliger-2014”, where they will take part in the shift “Generation of Knowledge”.
On August 22-29, the fifth session of the Seliger Forum shall be held; the range of its participants will include young researchers, students, and their professors who specialize in humanitarian disciplines. The participants’ quota, which the Forum organizers gave to Astrakhan Region, has made it possible for four specialists from ASU to go to this event. One of our four people is a historian, a second person is a political scientist, a third one is a sociologist, and a fourth one is an economist. They are going to cover a special program developed by the Federal Ministry of Education & Science and approved by the President’s Administration; the program will include numerous round-table talks, conferences, and seminars. The goal of the shift is to involve young researchers and students in university management, as well as to develop the ideological vector of enhancing the system of education, the national research and innovative potential.
About 1, 500 young researchers will take part in the shift. All in all, 96 students of Astrakhan State University have been to the 2014 Forum at Lake Seliger; they were involved in over 20 fields of knowledge. Now this number is round – exactly 100 people of ASU have visited the 2014 Forum!
