Our People at Students’ Forum

The international forum for young people “SeliAS-2014” has been opened in Astrakhan today. Students of Astrakhan State University take part in all its sections; they also help arrange its events.

The Forum takes place at the Quay of the Volga River. One of South Russia’s largest regional sites receives over 300 participants from Russia and nearby countries for five days in early September. The Forum includes four sections: Business, Media, Creativity, and Ecology. The delegation of Astrakhan State University is one of the largest and most versatile delegations at this event. About 100 students of ASU are taking part in the Forum; 15 of them are foreign citizens. Our people will visit master classes, trainings, and various seminars to be delivered by well-known experts. Besides, our students will act as organizers and experts themselves.

In particular, Vladimir Redko, Chief of the Volunteer Center “New Step” at ASU, has presented the information project “Learn Everything about FINA 2015”. Vladimir and his peers will tell about the 16th World Championship in Water Sports to be held in Kazan; it is our University that will act as the volunteer HQ for that Championship. As for Marina Vakkasova, Chief of SNO 2.0. at ASU, she will tell about advanced technologies of delivering knowledge, about modern techniques of teaching, etc.
