Designers from ASU Present Their Artistic Works
Students of Astrakhan State University’s Department of Architecture & Design have made their debuts at the Regional Exposition of Decorative & Applied Arts.
The Exposition has been held in Astrakhan; it is the first time that students of our University covering the specialty “Graphical Design” have taken part in such an event. The exhibition has been arranged by the Regional Branch of the Union of Russian Painters; eight students of our University have demonstrated their works to Astrakhan’s creative community.
According to Mr. Alexander Petrov, an Honored Artist of Russia and Head of ASU’s Chair of Painting & Drawing, works by our students looked quite well in comparison with works by other participants, some of whom are real masters.
After the exhibition, Mr. Petrov has insisted that our students should certainly take part in such expositions regularly. All our students who took part in this event have got letters of thanks by the Union of Russian Painters; their works have become exhibits of the ART-SALON Exhibition Hall. Let us remark that right after the exposition, one of our students’ works has been purchased by a person who appreciated its creativity.
