ASU Opens All Its Doors Today

Every year, Astrakhan State University opens its doors for its potential students, their parents, and anyone who wishes to learn more about Astrakhan Region’s top higher educational institutions. The first Day of Open Doors of this academic year has been held today.
Professor Alexander Lunyov, Rector of ASU, has warmly greeted the huge audience that gathered in our spacious Assembly Hall. He has told them about modern educational methods and techniques that are applied to train highly skilled specialists; he has emphasized the importance of international cooperation and pointed out that the infrastructure of our University is constantly being enhanced.
The audience has watched a presentation film about Astrakhan State University; they have been told about the 2014 admission campaign and about specific features of admitting new students to ASU in 2015. In their turn, our future students have asked many questions actively to know more about the educational process at ASU. The Rector and the Admission Commission gave detailed answers to each of them.
The official part of the event has been followed with a concert program arranged by our students. The concert participants danced, sang, and joked, thus showing the whole range of creative activities at our University. Some active young people among the potential students have had enough courage to walk out onto the scene and to demonstrate their talents to the large audience. After continuous applauses, everyone went to different lecture halls to meet Deans and key faculty staff members of the Departments that interested future students most. Young people have been told about specifics of admission to the specialties they are interested in, as well as about peculiar features of the educational process.
