Students of ASU Participate in School-Conference at National Research Nuclear University
Students of the Department of Physics & Technology of Astrakhan State University have taken part in the 5th International Youth Scientific School-Conference “Modern Problems of Physics & Technologies” that took place on April 18-23, 2016, at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) in honor of the 45th anniversary of the Basov Higher School of Physicists MEPhI.
The agenda was indeed eventful. The participants visited laboratories of the National Research Nuclear University of the MEPhI, the P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Laser Center, and the Scientific & Educational Centre NEVOD of the MEPhI; they listened to reports by outstanding scholars from Russia, Germany, France, and Scotland in Russian and in English.
During the School-Conference, our students have also covered a research program in the field of Laser Physics, micro- and nanoelectronics; their training also took place at the Laser Center; they were supervised by young scholars whose developments are applied in international-level units. They also learnt much about the traditions and the basic principles of training highly-qualified specialists in Physics and Engineering.
Our students gave seven reports at the event. Their developments were of profound interest among both the audience and the key researchers of the MEPhI. In particular, O. Kovalkovskiy, S. Shnychkin, and A. Kolodyazhniy gave the report “Application of Holographic Pyramid to Create Training 3D Demonstrations”; the theme of the report by D. Korolkov and I. Pashovkin was “Automatic Testing System for Welders”. As for the report by V. Antonovskaya “Creation of Aluminum-Based Universal Solder to Sweat Heterogeneous Metals”, it was awarded with a diploma in the nomination “Best Engineering Development”.
Let us congratulate our students on their success!
