Open Discussion “Russian Language Today”

The open discussion “Russian Language Today” has been held at the Department of Preliminary Education of Foreign Citizens of Astrakhan State University.

Students from a number of foreign countries studying at ASU have taken part in this event. They actively answered questions related to importance of studying the Russian language in the world, to their studies in Russia, and to prospects that are available for those who got education in Russia and who speaks its official language fluently.

Poems and songs about the Russian land were an integral part of the open discussion. The students emphasized extraordinary tunefulness and harmony of Russian artistic texts, which charmed them. “There aren’t so many people outside Russia who speak Russian. We’re eager to become unique specialists in our countries; we wish many people not only spoke, but also loved Russian”, this is what our foreign students pointed out.
