Initiation into Students of ASU

On September 01, 2016, the official ceremony of initiation of newly-enrolled young people into students of Astrakhan State University took place at the Arcadia Palace of Culture.

The event was opened with a choreographic number accompanied with bright visual effects. Performance of the international student hymn and swearing the student oath made the holiday especially remarkable and impressive.

Professor Alexander Lunyov, Acting Rector of ASU, pointed out in his welcoming speech that over the last years, our University pays much attention to develop students’ creativity, imagination, intuition, and teamwork skills. In his turn, Mr. Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of Astrakhan Region, remarked that ASU provides all the conditions necessary for versatile personal development.

Honoring the old tradition, the newly-initiated students received the symbolic key of knowledge. The official part was followed with a concert; the young students could not only enjoy their senior peers’ numbers, but also demonstrate their own talents on the scene.
