The author of the new edition is Professor Sergey Shakhray, Chairman of the Central Inspection and Auditing Committee of the Association of Lawyers of Russia; he is also a Vice-Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Dean of its School of State Audit, an Honored Lawyer of Russia, a renowned political figure, and a coauthor of the current Constitution of the Russian Federation adopted in 1993. He gave a lecture and answered the audience’s numerous questions.

The virtual lecture has united reps of the Saint Petersburg Office of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, as well as staff of Saint Petersburg’s universities, young specialists from Moscow, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Saratov, Stavropol, etc.

Our future lawyers have already been taking part in such virtual lectures – which are the cycle of lectures “Knowing Russia” – for a year. The event is arranged by the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. Its partner in the city of Astrakhan is the Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library, which regularly provides students of Astrakhan with an opportunity to participate in virtual lectures, conferences, and roundtables.
