Our Students Participate in Geographical Festival

A group of students of the Department of Geology & Geography of Astrakhan State University has taken part in the Thirteenth Big Geographical Festival 2017 (BGF 2017) hosted by Saint Petersburg State University.

The Festival was dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the outstanding Russian marine explorer and geographer Fyodor Litke, Vice Chairman of the Russian Geographical Society.

Various events were held as a part of the Festival: the International Scientific & Practical Conference of Students & Young Researchers; roundtables that involved key experts in various fields; master classes, etc. The report by Victor Zanozin, who currently covers a master program in Geography at ASU, was recognized as the best report in the section “Cartography” and awarded with a diploma.
