Our Professor Participates in International Conference in Economics

Dr. Elena Fedorova, an Associate Professor of the Chair of Economic Theory of Astrakhan State University, has taken part in the 3rd International Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey of HSE User Conference.

The event was held on May 19-20, 2017; its host was the Higher School of Economics – National Research University (Moscow, Russia). The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA), the Research Center “Demoscope”, and the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISRAS) supported this Conference. The range of its participants included economists and sociologists from the United States, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, and Russia. The participants’ research findings concerned the reform of Russia’s labor market, educational inequality, migration, and subjective wealth.

The theme of Dr. Fedorova’s report was “Labor Market Consequences of Sharp Pay Roll Tax Increase: Empirical Evidence from Russia”; the report was prepared jointly with professors from Novosibirsk State University and ITMO University (the Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics) and included into the program of the Conference on a competitive basis.
