An international educational project, one of whose developers is Astrakhan State University, has been backed by the program Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education as a result of the 2017 selection stage.

Just 11 of 107 Russian projects have been supported; “Internationalization of Agricultural Engineering Education in Russia & Iran” was one of them. The Ilmenau University of Technology coordinates this development. The project is based on analyzing needs of cooperating universities and modernization of the educational system in the field of agricultural engineering in accordance with the Lisbon Strategy and the Bologna Process at Russian and Iranian universities.

Besides Astrakhan State University, the consortium includes South-Russian State Polytechnic University (Russia), Stavropol State Agrarian University (Russia), Volgograd State Technical University (Russia), South Ural State University (Russia), Sari Agricultural Science and Natural Resources University (Iran), Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (Iran), the Ilmenau University of Technology (Germany), the University of L'Aquila (Italy), and the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia).

The project implies cooperation between higher educational institutions, their associations, and other organizations to develop their potential and share the best practices.

Our Congratulations!
