Jean Monnet Programme Backs Project by ASU

The project “Cluster Development in EU” by the Institute of Strategy & Competitiveness of Astrakhan State University has been backed by Erasmus+ (Jean Monnet European Modules).

1, 171 projects were presented to the Jean Monnet Actions; 228 of them were approved, including 11 projects that involved Russian universities.

In 2017, the number of projects by Russian universities has decreased considerably. In 2016, 31 Russian developments were presented to the Jean Monnet Actions, if compared with 11 projects this year. The passing score has also risen – from 76 to 87.5.

The project “Cluster Development in EU (2017–2020)” has gained 91.5 scores of 100, thus having taken the 9th place. It concerns successful cluster initiatives implemented in the European Union and assesses their experience to train cluster managers in Russia.

The Jean Monnet Programme has been operating since 1989. It aims to enhance education, promote research, and raise interest in the European Union. Applications submitted to participate in it are selected on an annual basis as a part of the Erasmus+ Programme.
