ASU Presents Its Projects at Exhibition of Agriculture

Faculty staff and students of the Chair of Agricultural Biotechnologies, Engineering, & Agribusiness have taken part in the 6th Annual Specialized Conference Exhibition “Seeds, Plant Protection Techniques, Agricultural Technologies. Astrakhan-2018”. The Astrakhan Regional Branch of the Russian Federal Agricultural Center arranged this event.

A number of companies and institutions, including Astrakhan State University, – suppliers of seeds, planting material of various crops, plant protection tools, fertilizers, agricultural equipment, covering materials, etc. presented their innovations and developments.

Researchers of ASU presented their development to collect data from agricultural fields by applying a special drone; the collected data is to be processed and analyzed to enhance decision-making in the field of plant cultivation. Our team also presented its project to prepare seeds of vegetable and melon crops for sowing without applying chemical agents.

Besides, our Department of Agribusiness, Technologies, & Veterinary Medicine worked actively to consult young visitors of the exhibition to help them choose their future professions.
