Preliminary Defense of Projects by Trainees of Presidential Program

The trainees of the Presidential Program that is currently delivered at Astrakhan State University have successfully passed the preliminary defense procedure related to their draft final projects.

The projects were presented by trainees of the educational programs “Regional Management: Formation of Sustainable Competitive Advantages of Companies & Areas” and “Efficient Management in Healthcare: Training of Result-Oriented Management Teams for Regional Healthcare System”. The themes of the projects were agreed with management of the organizations that sent the trainees to study at ASU.

This year, considering with a profound interest of the Healthcare Ministry of Astrakhan Region in implementing the principles of lean production into the medical facilities administration system, the trainees covering the program “Efficient Management in Healthcare: Training of Result-Oriented Management Teams for Regional Healthcare System” were divided into two project teams. One of those teams is developing a model to implement lean production into activities of Astrakhan Region’s medical facilities.

The primary preliminary defense aimed to present the urgency of the presented projects, their main tasks and the main outcomes of its expected application. The trainees and the jurors discussed the projects vividly and developed recommendations for a secondary preliminary defense of the final projects.

What is especially important is that most projects aim to provide a sustainable social and economic development of Astrakhan Region.
