Institute of Strategy & Competitiveness Takes Part in Delivery of International Course in Cluster Development
The Institute of Strategy & Competitiveness of Astrakhan State University has successfully completed the delivery of its course “Cluster Development in EU” as part of the 2017 Erasmus+ Program (Jean Monnet).
This is the second project by ASU backed by the Jean Monnet Program. Thanks to this Program, over 1,000 universities from 86 countries offer various educational courses for their students. The educational course “Cluster Development in EU” offered training for our master students specializing in economy, management, and administration. The classes concerned implementation of the best practices in the field of cluster development in the European Union.
Cluster development has become a topical issue for the Russian Federation owing to its government’s decision to develop economy by stimulating the growth of innovative companies associated with research institutes and suppliers of various goods and services.
The educational process included discussions, completion of assignments published on a special Facebook page, preparation of group tasks, and case studies.
This Erasmus+ project is to be continued: besides education, it shall involve research activities aiming to analyze experience gained in the EU clusters, cluster potential in the EU countries, and ways to apply the EU experience in clusters of Astrakhan Region.
