People of ASU Take Part in International Conference at National Research Nuclear University MEPhI

Professors and students of the Department of Physics & Technology of Astrakhan State University have taken part in the 7th International Youth Scientific School-Conference “Modern Problems of Physics & Technologies” held at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute).

At the plenary sessions, world famous scientists from Russia, the Czech Republic, and Italy gave their reports. Prof. Dr. Ing. Anton Fojtik from the Technical University of Liberec (the Czech Republic), who was one of the first scientists to perform experimental research of nanostructures, invited our students to his lecture “Clever Nanoparticles & Smart Nanostructures” that concerned application of nanotechnologies in Nanoelectronics, Biophotonics, and Biomedicine.

The participants of the School-Conference visited research facilities of MEPhI – its Scientific & Educational Centre NEVOD, as well as its labs.

Professors and students of ASU gave eight reports, which were of real interest for other participants. The themes of our people’s reports that were especially interesting for the audience were “Research of Spectral Characteristics of Honey & Polysaccharides It Contains”; “Research of Physical Processes in Foam Structures”; “Formation of Weld Nugget by Applying Friction Welding & Mixing”. The authors of these reports received diplomas in the nomination “For Practical Activities”.
