Topical Issues of Teaching French as a Foreign Language Discussed at ASU

The French-Russian workshop “Modern Techniques of Teaching French” arranged by our Chair of Romanic Philology has taken place at the Department of Foreign Languages of Astrakhan State University.

Faculty of our Chair, teachers of secondary schools of our city, and our students specializing in Pedagogics took part in this event. The seminar was held in French.

The key speakers were Dr. Angélique Masset-Martin from Artois University (Arras, France) and Dr. Marina Sveshnikova from our Chair of Romanic Philology. Dr. Masset-Martin concerned a very topical theme for Astrakhan Region – the intercultural approach to teaching foreign languages. Her presentation resulted in a vivid discussion among the seminar participants, similar to the report by Dr. Sveshnikova that related to teaching phonetics by applying poetic forms.

All the event participants will receive ASU certificates.
