ASU Welcomes Participants of the All-Russia Law Campaign

On the threshold of the Constitution Day, Astrakhan region, together with the whole country, held the All-Russia Law Dictation which aims at assessing the level of Russian citizens’ legal literacy and awareness.

The event is organized by the all-Russia social organizations «Association of Lawyers of Russia» and «Business Russia».

Astrakhan State University was the main venue of the event. The participants were welcomed by Aleksandr Treshchev, the ASU Vice Rector for Academic Activities, Andrey Spitsyn, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Astrakhan region, Nailya Nikitina, the High Commissioner for Rights of Entrepreneurs under the Astrakhan Governor, Valeriya Susina, the Head of the Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Astrakhan region, and Svetlana Zaykova, the President of the Astrakhan regional Branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

Other regional venues of the event were located in the Astrakhan Branch of the Saratov State Academy of Law, in the Astrakhan Branch of the International Institute of Law and in 126 urban and village schools of Astrakhan region.

The dictation involved a total of more than 1,300 Astrakhan citizens.
