Astrakhan State University Approves Its New Collective Agreement
On December 25, the conference of ASU employees reviewed the project of an updated document and its integral parts — provisions on labour remuneration, internal labour regulations, labour protection and financial help.
Collective labour agreement is one of the most important documents that determine activities of any organization. It is a legal act that regulates social and labour relations between employees and their employer. Therefore, collective agreement can be considered one of the most important forms of social partnership.
The necessity to reapprove the ASU collective agreement arose due to its termination. For this purpose, a bilateral commission, representing equally the employer and employees, was formed at the university. Besides, the agreement text was posted on the ASU website so that the university staff could read it and make amendments and proposals. The bilateral commission presented the results of its work at the general conference.
Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, made a report on results of the university activities in 2018 and execution of the current collective agreement. In his speech, the Rector told the audience about academic and research achievements, implementation of important strategic projects, extension of the partner pool, students’ success in social activities and sports. The Rector also dwelled on the plan of the university financial recovery, which has already been launched.
After the general discussion, the conference participants approved the collective labour agreement for 2019-2021.
