Astrakhan State University Chose the Best Dean’s Office

The awarding ceremony of the competition took place at the conference of the ASU employees. The winners received certificates on purchasing office equipment from Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector.

Despite the fact that the competition committee headed for this kind of inspection on the Pre-New Year days, it paid attention not only to decorations. According to the Rector, the main assessment criteria, apart from singularity and keeping a uniform style, was informative content of the environment, created by the deans for students.

Extra points were given to those faculties that paid special attention to making information stands, demonstrated photos of their alumni and achievements of current students, as well as their history. Besides, the strict committee did not neglect such things as a uniform style of document folders, the order at employees’ working places and presence of houseplants.

Finally, the committee ranked the offices and chose the winners:

3rd place — Faculty of Geology & Geography and Faculty of Foreign Languages;

2nd place — Law Faculty;

1st place — Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work.
