ASU Makes It Possible for Ca’ Foscari University Students to Take Traineeships at Russian Enterprises

One of the leading Italian universities already has an experience of such traineeships in many countries; however, until now there were no traineeships in non-EU countries. Such a project in the Russian Federation is being launched in Astrakhan thanks to long-standing cooperation between Ca’ Foscari and ASU.

The parties have reached an agreement on traineeships very recently — during the visit of the Astrakhan State University delegation, headed by the University Rector Konstantin Markelov, to Italy. Ca’Foscari administration and students are very interested in Astrakhan enterprises, and the ASU network of partner enterprises helps actualize the project in practice. It should be recalled that by now the university have agreements on cooperation almost with all regional enterprises.

Three Italian students are ready to come to Astrakhan this year, which was discussed on their meeting with Prof. Markelov.

The traineeship will result in a joint conference, where the parties will draw conclusions, mark out all pluses and minuses and discuss the following stage of their cooperation.

In general, the trip to Italy was quite productive. In addition to the above agreements, the parties agreed on development of current projects and initiated new ones. Konstantin Markelov also addressed the academic community, students and manufacturers of Venice with a speech and presented ASU as an innovative research & engineering platform for development of the Caspian region. It should be noted that there are several Ca’Foscari researchers who study Caspian issues and are ready to implement joint projects within the framework of our cooperation.

All in all, as noted by Konstantin Markelov, the visit was very efficient and allowed to strengthen the friendship with modern and well-developed Ca’Foscari University.
