Caspian Wolves Proves That ASU is the Best at Basketball

On February 16, teams of two major Astrakhan universities fought at the final of the Student Basketball Association Championship. It was a beautiful game full of emotions which finalized the competition for the leadership among teams from higher and secondary educational institutions of Astrakhan.

Astrakhan State University and Astrakhan State Technical University met for a tense battle and showed incredible skills in their struggle for victory. Caspian Wolves were supported by ASU students and employees, including Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector. Last minutes of the match saw the most intensive fight. The teams were almost neck to neck and players showed their best skills in their quest to throw a ball through the hoop. 90 seconds before the final whistle, ASU pulled away.

The final score is 64:58 so Caspian Wolves proved ASU leadership. The spectators gave the standing ovation to the winners. Astrakhan State University basketball players lent éclat to their alma mater and proved they are the best.
