ASU Invites to Undertake Arabic Language Courses
Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation is launching a new project — a basic course of Arabic for everyone who wants to learn one of the most ancient and beautiful languages of the world. The submission is open for students, alumni, pupils, volunteers and everyone interested.
The course participants will learn about the culture, customs and traditions of the oldest civilizations of the world and open a mysterious and magic world of the East.
Arabic is one of the six official languages of the UN. Like many other countries of the world, Russia still lacks for translators and interprets who are proficient in this ancient language. And this fact increases chances for getting employed in such spheres as oil & gas, finances, energy and a lot more.
Besides, learning Arabic is more relevant than ever — Astrakhan State University is going to train volunteer interpreters and translators for one of the most important events in the world of sport — 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be held in Qatar. Candidates who speak Arabic will have clear advantages during the selection procedure. Qatar needs 20,000 volunteers, and for now, more than 200,000 applications have already been submitted.
The basic course duration is 4 months, and classes will start in March. The Caspian School is also going to launch an intensive course in September, designed for training future volunteer interpreters and translators for international events.
