Students Participate in «Equal Dialogue» with the Minister of Education at ASU

Vitaly Gutman, the Acting Minister of Education of Astrakhan region, shared interesting facts from his biography and his worldview with the students and answered their questions on possible ways to build a successful career.

The project «Equal Dialogue» is nation-wide and aims at sharing well-known and successful persons’ experience with the younger generation. More than 50 thousand people participate in such a dialogue all over the country. In particular, Astrakhan has already seen such meetings with ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov and Astrakhan Customs Head Ildar Saidov. This time, the dialogue was held with Acting Minister of Education of Astrakhan region Vitaly Gutman.

The event was held at Astrakhan State University and brought together students of leading HEIs and FEIs of the city. The first part of the «Equal Dialogue» traditionally included the guest’s self-presentation. During the second part with a Q&A session, the guest told the students about his daily work schedule, favourite books and habits that help become a real professional.

Speaking about professional qualities that are crucial for the teacher, Vitaly Gutman marked out three aspects: a good teacher knows his/her subject, masters several technologies of transferring knowledge to students and respects him-/herself. If we extend this formula for any professional, it will be slightly modified as basic education plus a set of unique competences that form an in-demand specialist and the skills of thinking, communication, finding and digesting of new information.
