Astrakhan State University Students Will Enrich Their Competence with a Digital Profile

This initiative was described by Aleksey Titov, the Head of the ASU Engineering Project Office, at a meeting of the Governor Engineering Scientific & Industrial Council.

A proficient audience, consisting of representatives of the regional authorities and educational and business communities, was shown six projects on the development of the socioeconomic sphere of Astrakhan region. The ASU team made a presentation on the tool "Caspian Digital Platform of Engineering Education".

Astrakhan State University is the only HEI of the region that cooperates with the Digital University of the National Technology Initiative 20.35. This interaction has provided ASU students with an opportunity to use digital tools — digital footprint, diagnostics, profile and a lot more — already this semester.

A digital profile to the competence is a kind of an appendix to the diploma. All the tasks and activities, accomplished by the students during their studies, are fixed with digital footprints and then will be processed for filling in their digital profile.

According to Aleksey Titov, this year about 300 students of the university have used digital tools and about 70 students of the 1st-3rd years of studies joined the project teams within the Intensive Training Course "University of the National Technology Initiative 20.35". The customers of these research projects are, among others, the agro-industrial complex "Astrakhansky", Kilimchinskie Gardens, Russian Railways, as well as oil service companies "ChemPetro" and "Oil Service Technology".

Therefore, the ecosystem of Astrakhan State University is being formed to solve urgent tasks both in and outside the region.
