Astrakhan State University Signs an Agreement with Japanese Partners

On July 1, ASU Acting Rector Konstantin Markelov met with representatives of Japanese leading HR companies TalentEx and Human Resources in order to sign an agreement on further employment of students in leading Russian-Japanese organizations.

The Japanese partners were shown the university facilities: they visited the Research Laboratory “Mathematical Modeling & ICT in Science & Education”, the Resource Sharing Centre “3D Research in Biomechanics of Movements”, the Innovative Technological Centre to Create Multimedia Content, the Centre of Korean Language & Culture, the Academic Laboratory of Modeling & Situational Analysis of Logistic Processes, our Scientific Library and the cafeteria.

After the excursion, the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation hosted a meeting with a presentation of the history of development of relations between ASU and our Japanese partners, negotiations and signing of an agreement on long-term cooperation.

Welcoming the Japanese guests, Konstantin Markelov stressed that Astrakhan State University pays particular attention to cooperation with foreign partners. The partnership with TalentEx and Human Resources will help ASU pursue opportunities of graduates’ employment in Russian-Japanese companies in the areas that are interesting for them. It becomes increasingly important in the context of a new phase of the two countries’ relations, which is proved by the recent business visit of RF President Vladimir Putin to Japan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed the cooperation agreement, aimed at increasing the level of ASU graduates’ employment.
