Rector of Astrakhan State University Takes Part in Work of World Russian People’s Council

Moscow saw the ceremony of opening the 23rd World Russian People's Council “Preserving the Nation: the Present and Future of Russia”. It is the largest Russian educational forum for meeting people who are beyond political views and are united with a single idea of taking care of the present and future of Russia and forming the civil society.

The Council meetings are traditionally attended by representatives of all the branches of power, leaders of social unions, religious establishment of the traditional religions of Russia, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other security agencies of our country, teachers and students of the largest educational institutions, scientists and artists, delegates of the Russian communities of ex-Soviet and other foreign countries and numerous representatives of the youth.

Astrakhan State University Rector Konstantin Markelov is representing the region together with Нis Eminence Metropolitan Nikon of Astrakhan and Kamyzyak.
