ASU Hosts Media Training for Caspian Journalists

The project, implemented by the Russian Political Science Centre “North-South” under support of the Presidential Grant Foundation, is dedicated to the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The partners of the event are the Military Glory Museum, Astrakhan State University and Astrakhan State Technical University.

The event involves young journalists, editors of printed and electronic mass media, representatives of mass media communities and students of journalism faculties of leading universities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The media training activities at Astrakhan State University started with welcoming words by Aleksandr Treshchev, Vice Rector for Academic Activities, who stressed that ASU was not chosen a venue of such an event accidentally — the university has been quite successful in studying Caspian issues for a long time, and young journalists with ASU diplomas work in mass media of Azerbaijan, Iran and Kazakhstan.

Then Anzhelika Trapeznikova, the Executive Director of the Political Science Centre “North-South”, presented a list of speakers to the audience.
