Astrakhan State University College Holds Pharmacy Conference

The Unit of Pharmacy and Veterinary of the ASU College held an event, dedicated to the medicinal plants of Astrakhan region.
The conference was organized and attended by 2nd-year students and teacher of pharmaceutical subjects Elena Vorontsova.
The participants discussed health properties of the medicinal plants of our region and their importance for medicine.
“About 30% of the medicinal plants of Astrakhan region are poisonous, but if they are used in small doses, their poisonous substances have therapeutic modality. We have studied scientific data on medicinal composition of the plants and presented their characteristics,” says conference participant Milana Taganyazova.
The guests commended the excellent training of pharmacists-to-be and thanked them for the interesting and useful information.
