Astrakhan State University Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Student Trade Union Movement

In the anniversary year, the Trade Union of ASU took an active part in all the events, organized by the Student Coordinating Committee of the Southern Federal District, and implemented their own initiatives.

Having joined the audience via videoconference system, Chairman of the Student Coordinating Committee of the Southern Federal District Ilya Drobyazko congratulated everyone on the end of the year which became the 100th anniversary of the student trade union movement.

Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov commended activities of the trade union organization and wished ASU students further success, stressing that the Trade Union is the heart of the university.

The final event featured Chair of the Astrakhan regional organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education Tatiana Bugreeva, who stressed that the strength of the trade union is in its unity and solidarity, while its pride is our trade union activists.

The year of the 100th anniversary of the student unionism in the education trade union indeed was a year of studentship, a year of bright and large-scale events. The anniversary year ended, but the doors of the trade union will be always open for new activists.
