Staff Members of Astrakhan State University Receive Well-Deserved Honours

On January 20, Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov acknowledged his colleagues, who have succeeded in professional and social activities, at the first meeting of the Academic Council of 2020.

Certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Astrakhan region were handed to teachers Galina Gorlova, Tatiana Dymova, Marina Fisenko and Head of the Unit of Technical Tools of Education of the Directorate of Informatization & Digital Technologies Nikolay Morozov for their long service in the sphere of education and high professionalism.

Letters of appreciation from the Astrakhan Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia were handed to Rector Konstantin and staff members of the Department of Sociology Yulia Mironova and Aleksandr Rogov for organization of a public opinion polling on activities of departments of Internal Affairs of Astrakhan in 2019.
 

Konstantin Markelov also was acknowledged with a letter of gratitude from the Astrakhan Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church for his help in organization and holding of the 3rd Christmas Festival of Child and Youth Creativity “Light of Christmas”.

Director of the ASU Scientific Library Ekaterina Khakimova was awarded with a letter of gratitude from IPR MEDIA company for her contribution to the development of library services.

After the awarding ceremony, the Academic Council discussed a launch of new majors and specialization programmes at the Faculty of Architecture & Design, Faculty of Physical Training & Sports and Faculty of Digital Technologies & Сybersecurity. Besides, the meeting participants approved a decision on renaming the Department of Applied Mathematics, Information Science & Quality Management as “Department of Applied Mathematics & Information Science”.
