Rector Konstantin Markelov Congratulates ASU on Russian Students Day

Dear students, Master’s degree students and Ph.D. candidates of Astrakhan State University! I wholeheartedly congratulate you on this special occasion!

Studentship is the brightest and most eventful stage of life and, at the same time, it is a period of person’s comprehension of his/her mission, a decisive step toward the future.

Astrakhan State University is interested in becoming increasingly attractive and giving more and more opportunities for self-fulfillment and learning of the most up-to-date knowledge with each year. We strengthen and develop cooperation with Russian and foreign educational institutions so that you have an opportunity to undertake traineeships beyond the region. We attract representatives of businesses and science so that you can present our initiatives. We open new spaces and hold large-scale events so that ASU can become a point of attraction of the intellectual elite of the region.

By no doubt you’re the best in our region at the moment. At our laboratories, you develop projects that have no analogues in the world. Each year, you win competitions, grants and awards and become holders of the Governor Scholarship. All that indicates that students of Astrakhan State University are talented, active, smart and forward-minded.

These are you who help our university develop constantly and hold leading positions in different rankings, and we aren’t going to stop here.

Dear friends! Remember that the student life is many-sided. You can’t repeat it but indeed you can get everything it offers, so go for it!

Do not be afraid of thinking up something new, express yourself in creativity, music, science, social activity and succeed in everything. May every day of your life bring good mood and smiles! We are proud of you and I’m sure that the future of our region is in safe hands.

Happy Students Day!

Konstantin Markelov, Rector of Astrakhan State University
