Astrakhan State University Celebrates Russian Students Day

The morning flash mob “Have Fun, Student — 2020” featured several distinguished guests, including Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin.

The festive mood was felt even at the very entrance to the main building of the university. There a dancing flash mod was organized, and foreign students congratulated their friends on the occasion in different languages.

Governor of Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin (who, by the way, graduated from the Moscow Higher Military Command School) confessed he was glad to celebrate the holiday at university among the best students of the region.

ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov also wished the students good celebratory mood, especially in the light of the end of their examination period. Here, in the long-awaited Astrakhan snow, Igor Babushkin and Konstantin Markelov, following an old university tradition of celebrating Tatiana Day, treated the students to hot non-alcoholic mulled wine.

Of course, ladies that celebrated the day of their name were the main heroes of the celebration. Igor Babushkin and Konstantin Markelov congratulated several students called Tatiana from different faculties with bouquets of flowers — all of them have already made significant achievements in educational, scientific, sporting and creative activities.

The flash mob “Have Fun, Student — 2020” went on with different activities at interactive platforms, organized by the United Council of Students and representing the areas of work of ASU student clubs.
