Competition “I Am a Professional” Is Held at Astrakhan State University Again

The final examinations in the category “Pedagogical Education” took place on February 4-5 in the centre “Teacher of the Future” of the ASU Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work.

The centre has been running an educational platform for preparing to the all-Russian student competition during the whole study year. Participants that passed the selection procedure got to the final (on-site) stage. It consists of two rounds, and the first one is being held these days in Astrakhan for students of the Federal Southern District. Upon its results, finalists will be invited for the second round in Moscow.

Within the first round, the participants were to prepare a 20-minute lesson on any topic and demonstrate their skills of modeling situations in a specially equipped classroom before the jury.

Along with the contest among teachers-to-be, the on-site stage of the competition will cover other relevant fields of knowledge. For example, on February 8, ASU will welcome participants of the categories “Banking and Finance”, “Advertising and PR”, “Sociology”, while February, 9 will see a competition in business informatics, journalism and economy.
